About us .... The original Dubreq was formed in the late 1960's by Bert and Ted Coleman and Brian Jarvis as a dubbing and recording studio for the film industry, hence the name 'Dub/Rec'. The company shifted its focus to toys after Brian invented the 'Stylophone' pocket synthesizer in 1968 and the product became massively successful. Dubreq went on to launch a number of successful toys over the following two decades including the 'Top Trumps' card game. In 2003 Ben Jarvis (son of Brian Jarvis) re-formed Dubreq with the primary aim of re-launching the Stylophone as a retro gift item. The Stylophone was subsequently licensed to a major UK toy/gift manufacturer/distributor and has now been followed by further Stylophone products designed by Dubreq. Dubreq Ltd are now expanding and acquiring/creating new IP and new products in both the gift and toy markets with several new products to be launched in the near future.
